Nāti — a South Indian word for the bucolic: village life, slow and rooted in tradition, and above all, simplicity.
Two concepts live under one roof. A Darshini — the homely, family-run tiffin room of ghee-laden idlis, crisp buttery dosae and aromatic filter kaapi. And a Military Hotel — the hearty, non-vegetarian kitchens founded by ex-servicemen, yearning for the familiar tastes of a village home-cooked meal. We lean into the latter: South Indian food is too often cast as only vegetarian and tiffin, when much of the South eats meat — and we set out to give both their due.
Nati is local, evocative and sustainable. For us, authenticity is the self-sufficient way of the village — pure spices, generous ingredients and seasonal menus — all served with heartfelt warmth, and a smile.
